The Canal Barn at Upper Foxhangers Farm
forms part of a courtyard of traditional farm buildings that are set in the confines of an 18c farmhouse that has been sympathetically converted to provide two luxury holiday cottages with a contemporary feel. Both holiday cottages have airy rooms with open beams and en-suite facilities.
Upper foxhangers farm is located on the southern edge of the village of Rowde at the foot of the historic Caen Hill flight of locks and the accommodation has south facing views across the farm's dew pond and surrounding meadows. There is plenty of space for children to run around and explore.
The farm is home to Patrick and Louise Dawe-Lane and their family and consists of one hundred acres of pastureland. The canal is an integral part of the farm and the brightly coloured narrowboats pass by regularly on their way up and down the flight of locks. Just the place to relax and watch the moorhens, ducks and occasional swan fly in from the nearby Kennett and Avon Canal.
